Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how eTech EliGico Technology ("EliGico," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information through the app.eligico.com web application and the corresponding iOS mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is a business operations platform for low-voltage contractors, field-service teams, clients, vendors, and suppliers. Companies may request onboarding, and authorized users can manage estimates, invoices, projects, and related business records after access is approved.
1. Who we are
eTech EliGico Technology is a California-licensed low-voltage and security systems contractor (CSLB C-7 #1130701, DIR 2000007446), with offices at 1001 Wilshire Blvd, Unit 2109, Los Angeles, CA, USA, and Office 41, Emirates Towers, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, UAE. EliGico is the data controller responsible for the personal information processed through the Service.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, role, and admin credentials used to access the Service.
- Business records: customer names, project addresses, contact details, estimates, invoices, change orders, purchase orders, payroll entries, photos of project sites, and related documentation entered by authorized users.
- Communications: messages, comments, or support inquiries you send to us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages or screens viewed, actions taken (e.g., invoice generated, estimate sent), timestamps, and the IP address used to connect to the Service. We use this data to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Device data: device model, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic information needed to operate and troubleshoot the Service.
- Cookies / local storage: the web app uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember UI preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
2.3 Information from clients
If you are a client viewing an invoice or estimate via a public link sent to you (for example, app.eligico.com/i/…), we record that the link was viewed, the time of viewing, and the count of views, so the project owner knows the document was received. We do not collect your name, email, or other identifying information through public viewer links unless you submit it voluntarily.
3. How we use information
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Service.
- Generate, store, and deliver business documents (estimates, invoices, PDFs).
- Send transactional emails (e.g., invoice delivery) from billing@eligico.com.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
- Communicate with users about service changes, security notices, and support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising or to train third-party AI models.
4. Notifications
The Service may show in-app alerts for business activity such as document, payroll, project, or service updates. The iOS app may also ask for permission to send lock-screen notifications for operational updates such as check-ins, check-outs, service requests, and accepted estimates. You can turn these notifications off in iOS Settings. We do not use notifications for advertising.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We share personal information only as needed to operate the Service and only with the categories of recipients listed below:
- Hosting and infrastructure: our hosting provider (A2 Hosting) stores the Service's database and files on servers located in the United States.
- Email delivery: outbound transactional email is sent through standard mail transport on our hosted server.
- Platform providers: Apple and other platform providers may process limited technical information needed to install, run, or update the app.
- Legal authorities: when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of eTech, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality obligations.
We do not share personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies.
6. Data retention
We retain business records (estimates, invoices, payroll, project files) for as long as required by California and U.S. federal law for tax and accounting purposes, and for as long as the data is needed for legitimate business operations. Account information is retained while your account is active and deleted on request, subject to legal hold requirements. Soft-deleted records may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before purge.
7. Security
We use HTTPS for all transport, server-side access controls, and an admin authentication key for privileged endpoints. Database files are stored on access-restricted servers. Despite reasonable safeguards, no system is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk and should report suspected security issues immediately to support@eligico.com.
8. Your rights
8.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to (a) know what personal information we collect and how we use it, (b) request a copy of your personal information, (c) request correction or deletion of your personal information, and (d) not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CPRA.
8.2 EEA, UK, and other jurisdictions
Where applicable law (including GDPR) grants you additional rights, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to processing. The legal bases on which we rely are: performance of a contract, our legitimate business interests, your consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.
8.3 How to exercise your rights
Send your request to support@eligico.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 45 days for CCPA, 30 days for GDPR).
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
